Ashland Cross Phenomenal versions of all these classics, shows both the genius of the originals and brilliance of Anthony's beautiful and honest guitar lines. Great source of musical knowledge, I listen to his renditions of Moonglow" and Apache on a regular basis. Love getting to hear Anthony taking the reigns! Favorite track: Apache.

about

Here I go again, with another collection of songs I wish I wrote. This time a little less excited, less enthused, simpler arrangements and no plans do this again anytime soon. To me this process is like watching TV. It's recreational recording. I do it when I have some free time and lack the focus or ambition to work on my own music, or something that I truly care about. Recording these songs is fun and fine, it lets me be something else for a bit. It's fun to record something and come out at the end not caring that it's perfect or that it is exactly what you thought it would be. It's a kind of musical selfie; quick to make and put out there; a useless glimpse of my free time. Or maybe it's just practice; messing around and seeing what you can do with very little resources. In the end it's really just an ode to my record collection. More Slim Whitman name dropping, a Skeeter Davis song produced by Chet Atkins, some Belafonte, a Nat King Cole album title, wrecking crew, Sinatra, Lawrence Welk plays Erroll Garner...call now for rush delivery, for just $23.99 this collection can be yours!
Anyway, these are songs I love, and I strongly encourage you to do some research into the original versions.
Thanks
AL
