Here is a lost song from my grandfather, Giuseppe Seminara. "Papu" is what we called him.
Papu was a musician, but for a living he had a shoe shop. When Papu died, my Uncle Bobby kept all the equipment from the shop, and has recently been setting it up again to fix shoes. While going through everything he found an old envelope (pictured on the cover) with a tune written on it. It wasn't finished, but it was mostly there, and it even had a title (misspelling and all).
"Adio Amico". Goodbye friend.
Uncle Bobby gave me the envelope to try and finish the song. I followed what was there and picked up where the rats or whatever critter chewed away the bottom corner, adding a chorus section too.
Like Uncle Bobby said, "That sounds like something he would play."
